What We’re All About
Nels Fabric Place has been going for 17yrs. It started in April 2003 when I purchased a small prexisting business. I wanted to expand this business and include many more lines to help the customers to this area. I moved premises in 2009 to these present locality, where we have expanded lines and made available many more options for the sewer. We also hand make items for sale and mending for customers as well.

Materials
Supplying branch such as Guttermann, Kennards, PK Fabrics, Robert Kaufman, Moda, XLN Fabrics, Studio E, Wyndham Fabrics, Henry Glass & Co, Benartex, Timeless Treasure, 2 Green Zebras, J.Leutenegger, Just to name a few. We have a huge range of wide quilt backings.
Many fabrics are on bolts and poles that are being sold by the metre, with that being said series materials do come with a panel to summarise them all together. Some do come in jelly rolls, fat quarters, fat quarter packs, cut squares, and bundles.
Most of our Backings are displaced on poles and are sold by the metre. The measurements for the backings can be up to 2.7 metres or 108 inches in width, so they are pretty big!
Wool
An Australian wool company supplying home grown wool, acrylic yarn with patterns available. Many other products like knitting needles, crochet hooks, circular needles, and French knitters are available.
Habby
Brands such as Birch, Hemline, Pony, Sullivans, Astor Buttons and products from Victorian Textiles.
These companies supply us with: cotton thread, pins, iron patches, ribbon, bias binding, elastic, snap fasteners, sewing machine needles, quilters holding clips, machine bulbs, Embroidery and Crochet cotton threads, magnetic handbag buttons, handbag handles, buckles, bra extenders and replacements, etc.
Machines
We have full access to the full range of Janome Products. Including needles, accessories, machines, and support. We include free lessons with all machine purchases. We also have a local mechanic to service all machines.
Accessories
Accessories cover all things to help the sewer, craft person complete their projects form sewing boxes, sewing cabnets from Horn Australia, to scissors and quilt patterns to all types of interfacings, waddings, and zippers.

Sarah is a local quilter of Temora. She is exceptional at her job and brings out the best with every quilt she develops. A choice of either CUSTOM or FULL DESIGN can bring out the best in a quilt. Sarah comes down to us to pick one of our awesome backings to suit the quilt of the customer the best.
